Event date: August 30th, 2022
On August 30, 2022, an open day was organized at Teagasc Johnstown Castle.
In general, the TEAGASC research group elaborated on how to improve the Carbon Footprint of winter Milk Production Systems (typical Irish case studies), using findings from the MilKey and other relevant projects. Moreover, the results of a research effort in which the carbon footprint of a winter milk system feeding imported protein (IMP) was compared against a system offering homegrown feedstuffs (HGP) were presented.
